I am ecstatic that Tony Abbott is going to ‘shirt front’ Vladimir Putin.  I hope it’s the beginning of a wonderful trend.  If another nation offends, threatens or hurts your people, your leader takes off his shirt, puts on the boxing gloves or the martial arts uniform and has a bit of biffo with the other nation’s leader.

Ah, think of the money we can now save in defence spending, the saving of all those soldiers’ lives.  No more arms race, no more arms trade, no more environments laid waste to war, no more child soldiers, no more refugees fleeing war, no more soldiers raping women, no more torture, no more innocent lives tragically lost, no more ‘collateral damage’.  Oh the joy of it!

And to think it is Australia’s own Tony Abbott who bravely puts himself on the front line to kick-start (or at least kick-box) this peaceful new world into being!  Another great first for Australia!

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

Like a man with senile dementia , in charge of the nuclear codes with his finger skipping around the launch button, The absurdity, inanity incredulity reaches such an intensity whereby no critical commentary is possible. One can only scrunch their eyes, rub face with hands, and anxiously mumble ‘i am not here this is not really happening’ a thousand times
