David Lovejoy makes the point in last week’s editorial that while the 31 people who voted for Cr Wanchap directly might accept her change of direction, the thousands who supported her as a Green have been disenfranchised. I believe this is the heart of the matter.
Of course the Greens feel somewhat responsible for Rose’s disastrous decision-making but Fast Bucks goes too far in pointing the finger; it seems Rose had an excellent record in the areas of both environment and community welfare when the Greens endorsed her. Who knows why she suddenly changed course but one has only to read last week’s Council coverage to see how devastating her failure to live up to her commitments is for our Shire.
Please Rose, we don’t want another Gold Coast here, we care about our residents and our koalas, also our beaches. Our community put its trust in you; either resign or have a serious rethink and start fulfilling that trust.

Connect the Northern Rivers train line to the Gold Coast and we will see an extension of the Gold Coast style housing subdivisions in this area..
