Hi Rose – We met once at the BSC election night party at Poinciana cafe on September 8, 2012.

I’m not a person interested in politics but I did back the Greens ticket of Simon, you and colleagues to represent our collective values going forward.

It’s obvious from recent events that you no longer represent the policies, teamwork and values that you stood for going into the election.

I’m not sure if this is simply a change of heart or misleading and deceptive conduct. No doubt you are free to change your mind and so am I.

I now call on you to resign from council so our region can recast its vote in a democratic by-election to find your replacement.

To be really fair and transparent I’m willing to arrange an online community survey to find out how many others also feel let down by you and will gladly publish the results.

Sorry Rose – this is not personal – I hardly know you, but I’m very clear on what I want in my elected representatives.

Please feel free to call me should you wish to discuss this and I wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do next.

Greg Dutton, Mullumbimby

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
