Byron Bay Detectives are keen to speak to a family who were in the immediate vicinity of the children’s playground within the Suffolk Park playing fields on Sunday afternoon (October 12).
Around 6pm, a man, aged about 35-40, rode to the children’s playground and picked up a young girl, aged around nine, and possibly another young boy. All three left the play area on push bikes.
The young girl had shoulder-length blonde hair, and is believed to have an American or Canadian accent.
It’s believed the family may have witnessed an incident that is under investigation, and as such, may be able to assist detectives with their inquiries.
