A great Social Day of fun was had at Alstonville last week. Games of triples with positions swapped after 6 ends plus something new, our bowls stayed in the same position. We all played 6 ends with our team members bowls. Alstonville wrong bias $ jar, made a fortune out of us Brunswick ladies that day.

Teven Golf Club Men’s Division held a 9 holes Stableford competition on Saturday morning 11 October with a 6.30am shotgun start.

The results were:

Winner: Peter Harden (24 pts).  Runner up: Garry Bourke (22 pts).  Ball run down:  Ian McDuff (22 pts), Steve Blackmore (22 pts), Bill Kennedy (21 pts), John Selwood (21 pts).  Nearest the Pins:  4th:  Jim McGarry;  8th:  Garry Bourke (within a flag length).  Putting:  Peter Harden (13 putts).  Next comp: Sat 18 October – 9 holes Stroke competition followed by a BBQ breakfast.

Note: 6.15am start for a 6.30am shotgun tee off.

The singles handicap round-robin competition was won by Alan Shubitz, it was a tie for second between Chris Strybos and Max Schleuter with Mark Smith fourth.  The doubles competition round-robin was won by the undefeated team of Mark Smith & Sunny Gibb, second was Chris Strybos & Steve Cicak and third Matt Ostelo & Tim Robertson.
