The 2014 Uplift Festival at Byron Bay over the past four days was truly a melting pot of consciousness, with hundreds of people enjoying the hybrid music festival/conference which promotes peace, spirituality and ecological sustainability.

Great coverage of a very inspiring festival. I was there for two days and also strongly felt the need to find ways to spread the messages to those who might not go to a festival like this. Scarlett Lewis is sharing her son Jesse’s message of Nurturing Healing Love in prisons – that’s inspiring!
From a well-strung guitar the tune and melody wafts and weaves and melds in the air with the song of the singer like a well-oiled machine to crank up the folk that crowded around listening.
The eyes of the singer and the guitarist meet in exchange in thoughts and feelings of the song that the singer was singing.
When are we going to change. When are we going to change. How strange it is that two women with heart and soul with feelings melding their feelings together in song and music singing and playing in righting the wrong in a very right song of the day that we must change our direction as it is not the whim of the weather. We live on the coast. On the Pacific, like most Australians.
Soon, yes soon, before the cyclones come and the monsoon storms in from the tropics up north to wet wet wet the northern Australian land because soon it could be the end of the section, Tracy.
I was so disappointed when I got there – I thought it was a conference on cosmetic surgery!
