The annual Brunswick Heads Woodchop carnival drew hundreds of people from all over the country to watch the big axemen and axewomen muscle it out while keeping a great tradition alive. Youngsters also competed for the first time.

The annual Brunswick Heads Woodchop carnival made the chips fly without making the chips fry at your local supermarket shopping block as you would not have fries with that as the axe men fired up and fired their fury in a flurry while these fellas and their lasses flew and felled the timber into chips like any chirpy chippy swinging, they got in for their chop like a woodchopper at their chippy chopping block.
