Eight women will be included in Ms Palaszczuk’s cabinet, and former Bligh government ministers Kate Jones and Cameron Dick have been rewarded with positions.

Former member Stirling Hinchliffe missed out, but was given the role of Leader of the House and Assistant Minister of State Assisting the Premier.

New MPs Leeanne Enoch, Mark Bailey, Coralee O’Rourke and Shannon Fentiman have all been promoted straight to the ministry.
