The Dynamic Drawing exhibition/art event at Kulchajam last weekend saw over 400 people at the venue to view the work of 75 drawers showcasing 180 works.
It included a large Q&A style forum at Saturday’s opening, as well as a packed drawing workshop on Sunday.
The event was filmed and documented by Byron Video and Elements Superfood Cafe served up delicious food for the occasion.
The weekend was a celebration of Ron Curran’s 15 years in the Byron Shire running weekly classes in Byron, Mullumbimby and beyond (including a successful two and a half year stint in Melbourne).
Thousands of people have attended Ron’s classes over the years to find their ‘signature’ and meet themselves through drawing.
‘We are much smarter intuitively than we could ever believe,’ says Ron. ‘Strong work comes from that amazing intersection where our attachments and fears collide into a recognisable vision of who we are.’
