A Rock Valley home went up in flames early on Sunday morning, just days after a home at Ocean Shores was also destroyed by fire.
The two fires were the latest in a series of houses destroyed, with another in Kingsley Street in Byron Bay going up in flames on 6 August, and a multi-million guesthouse called the Spirit of Bali destroyed on 21 July.
Inspector Boyd Townsend, of Rural Fire Service Northern Rivers, said 14 firefighters took more than four hours to extinguish the Rock Valley fire, which broke out around 1am.
No-one was at the property at the time of the blaze.
Meanwhile, on Friday at Ocean Shores about 10.45pm, emergency services responded to reports of a fire.
When police arrived the four occupants had made their way safely out of the brick and tile home, leaving 27 firefighters to battle the blaze.
Police investigations are continuing, but neither incident is being treated as suspicious.
