Five men charged with child sex offences, Gold Coast

Queensland Police say five men have been charged with multiple child sex offences following a joint investigation by officers from Argos and the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit.

A 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been charged with drug offences following a search of a Ballina property yesterday.

Police from the Richmond LAC executed a search warrant at an address in Henry Phillip Avenue, Ballina yesterday.

During the search police seized drugs believed to be Methyl-amphetamine (ICE), steroids, cannabis and restricted pharmaceutical drugs.

They also seized a significant amount property including power tools, toiletry items, toys and an amount of cash.

Police will allege the property was exchanged for the supply of drugs.

A 24 year-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing prohibited prescribed substance and dealing with proceeds of crime.

A 19-year-old woman was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and possession of a prohibited drug.

The pair were bailed to appear at Ballina Local Court next month.
