Pollies get perks, pensioners get peanuts

So the bill for our retiring pollies surpasses the $2 million.

Nothing said about it but plenty is said about the rise of ordinary aged pensioner rates.

Here we have a group of elected representatives showing us of what it means to be a politician when they can retire on self-help remuneration as a result of the many contacts that they have had during their years in a parliament.

What does that say to the average pensioner? ‘Up you for the rent.’
