One thousand riverbank trees will be planted on Left Bank Road, Mullumbimby, this coming Sunday morning and the only thing needed is you.
It’s the sixth annual Mullum Music Festival tree planting, and the day will include live music and barbecue brunch provided by Brunswick Valley Landcare.
Organisers say this year will see the 5,000th tree planted, and Byron Shire Council and Koala Connections are assisting with equipment, plants and communications.
The project is supported by the adjoining neighbours.
Bring drinking water and wear gloves, long sleeves and long pants, with protective footwear.
Trees will be provided and laid out ready for planting at the site. The day begins at 8.30am and will run until 10am, and is located at the corner of Left Bank Road on Yankee Creek Road Reserve, between Shearwater School and the Fossil Farm, Mullumbimby.
