A man has appeared in court after drugs and cash were found during a vehicle stop at Corndale  on Tuesday, during which police say the driver gave a false name.

Just after 2.30pm (Tuesday, June 14), officers attached to Richmond Local Area Command stopped a Ford Falcon ute on Strong Road.

They alleg the driver provided police with a false name before search of the man revealed quantity of methylamphetamine (ice), MDMA, and cash.

A 51-year-old man was arrested at the scene, before being taken to Lismore Police Station.

He has been charged with supply illicit drug (indictable quantity), two counts of possess prohibited drug, dealing with suspected proceeds of crime, and drive while disqualified.

The man was refused bail, to appear at Lismore Local Court on Wednesday (June 15).
