A man has been charged after allegedly shooting at a home near Casino on Tuesday (May 31).
Police allege that about 9am four shots were fired at the home on a rural property on Bruxner Road at Drake, 77km west of Casino.
Four people who were inside the home at the time were uninjured.
About 10am, officers from Richmond Local Area Command and the Northern Region Dog Unit attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.
Following inquiries, officers arrested a 45-year-old man at a nearby home about 30 minutes later .
Officers raided the second home and allegedly located ammunition, two firearms and a riflescope. Cannabis leaf and seeds were also located at the home.
The man was taken to Casino Police Station and charged with recklessly firing at dwelling house, fire firearm likely to injure and not keep firearm safe.
He was refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
