Police have asked for public assistance after numerous caravans were broken into between Friday and Saturday nights.

The thefts took place at a caravan park in Park Street, Evans Head.

Police said the property stolen included watches, razors, BBQ cooking equipment, a gas stove, jewelry, fishing rod and reel, toiletries bag, cash, a tape measure, perfume and other items.

Evans Head police are investigating and several forensic examinations are currently taking place.
