Two Lismore women have been charged with drug and traffic offences after being stopped by police in Goonellabah yesterday.
The pair will face Lismore Local Court next month.
Police will allege that on Wednesday afternoon they stopped a car occupied by the two women in Goonellabah.
Checks on the driver’s licence revealed that her licence was cancelled.
Police said the driver then returned a positive roadside drug test reading for cannabis and methyl-amphetamine.
Police then searched the passenger side of the vehicle.
They found found two small bags of methyl-amphetamine and a glass pipe used for smoking methyl-amphetamine.
The passenger was charged with Possess Prohibited Drug and Possess Implements to Administer a Prohibited Drug.
The driver will be charged for driving whilst cancelled.
A decision will be made in relation to her driving under the influence of methyl-amphetamine and cannabis once a secondary test is carried out.
