I wish to advise the community, via the Echo and other media, of my intention to make a documentary about the Island Quarry Project for local and state TV channels. I would appreciate any support and assistance of this from the Echo as Nick and the team were pivotal in helping us get the ball rolling and always gave us excellent coverage and sponsorship historically.
As a recently returned resident who was instrumental in getting the thing going I am interested in finding out and documenting what has happened, or not, and why the project failed to gain traction and still sits unfinished behind locked gates and high fences.
