Police investigate pedestrian death at Burleigh Heads

The Queensland Police forensic crash unit is investigating after a pedestrian died at Burleigh Heads overnight (November 20).

A man has died after his motorcycle and a car crashed at Uki last week.

Just after 5pm on Friday (October 7), emergency services were called to Kyogle Road following reports a motorcycle and a Mitsubishi Triton 4WD had collided.

The rider of the motorbike, a 43-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Police were advised yesterday that the man had died in hospital.

The driver and two passengers of the utility were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
