A 20-year-old Nimbin man is the latest person to be charged by police as part of an operation that targeted cannabis dealers in Nimbin known as the ‘lane boys’.
The arrest takes the total number of people charged to 31.
The operation, called Strike Force CUPPA, began in June 2015 and is an investigation into the supply of drugs in the Nimbin area.
The 30 people so far arrested by police are facing charges relating to the supply and possession of drugs, weapon possession, participating in a criminal group and other offences.
The 20 year Nimbin man was charged on 13 October at Lismore Police Station with the following offences: Take part in supply of a prohibited drug, face disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence, participate in a criminal group, stalking and using a carriage service to menace.
He was released on conditional bail and will appear in Lismore Local Court in November.
