nina-burlesqueBurlesque dancer Nina Jeftic has put together an exciting new show called Everything Burlesque, with sassy new performances that will have you enthralled!

What is the concept for Everything Burlesque?

The concept of Everything Burlesque is to present an entertaining mix of fun and exciting pieces from different musicals, famous choreographers, and different artforms that embraces cheekiness, sexiness, sensuality, and femininity that empowers women to stand proud and strong. My show is more about presenting the entertainment side of burlesque, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

What is burlesque? And what constitutes an act?

I believe burlesque is the art of engaging an audience in the lure of fun, frivolity and sensuality in an exciting surprise package!

How does burlesque differ from stripping?

Burlesque is an artform that has quite a hierarchy and following among the ages and has been around for centuries. It focuses more on the art than just taking off your clothes. There are burlesque schools all over the world teaching the art and its various techniques.

Burlesque has had quite a comeback owing to its current trend of styling in the 50s pin-up girl. Movies such as Burlesque starring Christina Aguilera, and Chicago, have certainly had an impact on the mainstream understanding of burlesque.

What surprises do you have in store for your upcoming show?
