Evie Clarkson from Banora Point Public School, aged 9, triumphed in the 100m sprint at the State Athletics Championships in Sydney last month.
Qualifying public school primary students from across the far north coast competed in the event held at the Sydney International Athletic Centre.

Shiloh Jacobsen (Crystal Creek PS) came 2nd in the Senior Boys High Jump.
Ciarn Larrecy (Tyalgum PS) came 3rd in the Senior Girls Discus 3.
Matthew Bollard (Pottsville Beach PS), finished fifth in the Senior boys 200m.
Centaur PS Senior Boys made the relay semifinals.
