East Ballina couple Barbara and Denis Lynch are set to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in just a few weeks – and they believe tennis keeps them ticking.
Now in their 80s, Barbara and Denis are the oldest members of Ballina Tennis Club, where they still regularly play twice a week.
The pair were married February 23, 1957, at St Davids Church, Rockdale (Sydney).
After raising their three children Tracey, Steven and Ros in Sydney, they retired to Lennox Head in 2002.
Denis and Barbara now live in the 1957 beach house (built the same year they married) they have renovated at East Ballina.
They have eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
