A 24-year-old Evans Head man will face court later this month on 13 charges relating to thefts from motor vehicles after police raided an Alstonville property yesterday.
Richmond LAC police say they commenced an investigation after receiving reports that a number of vehicles had been broken into in the Alstonville area since December.
At about 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, January 31), police raided a home on Ballina Road, Alstonville.
During the search they seized a number of items they believed to be stolen.
A 24-year-old man was subsequently arrested at a unit at Evans Head and taken to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with stealing from motor vehicle and 12 counts of obtaining benefit by deception.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on Monday, February 27.
