A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a middle-aged local man died in a single-vehicle crash in the Tweed yesterday evening.
The single-vehicle crash happened on Duranbah Road, about 23km from Tweed Heads, about 7.30pm (Monday April 17).
Inspector Bobbie Cullen told Echonetdaily that a car, which was being driven by a 51-year-old local man, left the road and hit a tree.
The driver – and sole occupant – died at the scene.
Officers from the crash unit are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
