Brunswick Byron Netball Association will field a team in U/17 Division Three in the 2017 Samsung State Championships hosted by the Baulkham Hills Shire Netball Association over the coming June long weekend.

The local team will meet some of the best netballing talent from across NSW and will hope to go one better than the 2012 Brunswick Byron side that were runners up in the U/17 Division Three.

The 49th instalment of the Netball NSW State Championships includes 103 teams representing 69 associations from around the state participating in three days of back-to-back netball.

The 2017 tournament will see six age divisions in action: two Open divisions (Championship and Division Two), U/21 Championship, and three U/17 divisions (Championship, Division Two and Division Three).

The Pat Weston OAM Country Champions Cup is also on the line and  awarded to the highest-placed regional association in the Open Championship division.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
