Lennox Head was celebrating the town and its successful businesses on Monday night at the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce awards. Major awards were taken out by Beef+Beach balcony restaurant, Barefruit Marketing and Ballina Campervan and Motorhome centre.
‘We had an amazing night. Loads of fun in typical laid back Lennox style,’ said Chamber president, Debbie Smith.
‘What is truly special is, as usual, the awards night comes together with the invaluable help of Lennox Chamber and local businesses volunteering their time and skills to make it happen.’
Beef+Beach balcony restaurant took out the Best Visitor Experience for Hospitality for the second year in a row.
Beef+Beach Manager Maurice Lawless says, ‘Winning this award has given us a real boost and we are excited that the experience we provide at Beef+Beach is proving exceptional to our visitors. For us – it was not only an honour but a culmination of a lot of hard work and
dedication put in by the whole team.’
Taking out the Best Big Business award was Ballina Campervan and Motorhome centre and Horizon Motorhomes have been running for 29 years and recently moved into a new state-of-the-art factory in Ballina.
‘We are grateful to be recognised by the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce for all the hard work and determination we have put in to our business,’ owner Clayton Kearney said.

Barefruit Marketing, started by Claire Harding in the living room of her Lennox home, won the Business of the Year award for the second year running.
‘We can’t believe it! Last year was a massive honour, to win Business of the Year in the
town that we have made home, amongst so many wonderfully talented people,’ Claire said.
‘To win this award for the second consecutive year is a huge achievement for our team and our business, especially being up against so many other contenders, many of which we know.’
Special trophies were created by local artist Joe Stark who created the unique sculptures while Sebastiaan Scholtens keeps everyone entertained
‘Club Lennox did an amazing job with a beautiful decor and so much top notch food,’ continued Debbie. ‘John Peacock from Chem Dry Far North Coast was our stand up comedian MC, he had the room in fits all night.’
