Two people will face court in the new year after allegedly assaulting police in seperate incidents yesterday.
In Casino a 57-year-old local man went to the police station and started yelling abuse at officers who directed him to leave.
When the man refused to leave the station, he was arrested and placed in a cell.
Police allege the man made threats to kill a senior constable and then urinated in the cell.
He was charged with Assault Police, Resist Police, Intimidate Police and Damage Property. He was bail refused by police and later granted conditional bail by the court to appear at Casino in January.
Meanwhile in Lismore, police were called to the Lismore Square Shopping Centre to assist security.
After speaking to security police spotted a juvenile they needed to speak to on Conway Street.
The juvenile was placed under arrest but ran off.
The juvenile was detained and refused to comply with police directions. The juvenile has then kicked a police officer.
The juvenile was taken to Lismore Police Station where they were charged with Assault Police and Resist Police. The juvenile will appear in Lismore Childrens Court in February.
