The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has airlifted a woman to a Brisbane hospital after she was injured jumping from a bridge at Brunswick Heads yesterday (Sunday, December 17).

The 20-year-old woman is believed to have sustained possible spinal injuries after jumping from the bridge into the Brunswick River.

The chopper’s critical care medical team and NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived at the scene around 11:30am.

After they stabilised the woman, the helicopter transported her to Princess Alexandria Hospital in Brisbane.

No further details are available on the condition of the woman at this time.
