Jack Wright and staff celebrating the Fish Bar’s 2nd birthday

By Vivienne Pearson

The Fish Bar that Jack Built has turned two! The big day was Saturday (3 March), and was celebrated with face painting, balloons, spot give-aways, a ‘design your ultimate burger’ competition, and lots of quality fish and chips.

Owner Jack Wright had a simple birthday message: ‘A massive thankyou to my staff!’ he said, although he did also want to thank his loyal customers for their patience during the inevitable surges in demand that occur in holiday towns. ‘At busy times, we’ve had 30 people in line,’ he says.

As a thankyou, this birthday sees the start of a 10 per cent discount for locals. And by ‘locals’, Jack means really local. In keeping with their social-media handle (@brunswickfishbar2483), the discount will be served up to anyone showing the postcode 2483 on their driver licence.

Brunswick Fish Bar – Park Street, Brunswick Heads.
Open 7 days, 11am–8pm.
