The Pocket Public School is heading to The Commonwealth Games after gaining the support of their community.
Seventy-five tickets were alloted in a ballot process last year, says the school’s principal Will Glasson.
The school’s year six communication minister, Sienna, said, ‘As a school, we are so excited to be going to this great event.’
Principal Glasson added, ‘It is a great opportunity for our children to see sport on a global scale and it’s in our own backyard!’
The entire school is heading to Carrara Stadium to watch the hurdles, discus, long jump and pole vault.
‘We are incredibly lucky and excited to be going,’ added Jacob, the school’s sports minister.
