Murwillumbah High School’s senior boys volleyball team has finished first in the North Coast region. They will represent the North Coast region at the NSW knock-out competition in Sydney, on the first week back in term three.
‘This group of individuals is exceptional,’ said Coach and teacher Carl Marshall.
‘They’ve been training twice a week every week of every term since Year 8, and they’re now in Year 12.
‘Their commitment to the game and to each other is wonderful, and huge success has followed, despite the fact that they get almost no match practice because there are no volleyball competitions for them to compete in between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane.’
The school has a high number of representatives at regional and state level across a variety of sports and a high profile in the Arts despite its status as a small regional high school of 430 students.
