Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was indecently assaulted in her car on the Northern Rivers on Thursday (April 5).
About 1.30pm, while the 21-year-old woman was stopped at the intersection of Stanley and Short Streets, Maclean, an unknown man has opened the front passenger side door and demanded the woman let him drive.
The woman refused and ordered the man out of the car.
He then allegedly indecently assaulted the woman before falling out of the car.
The man was last seen walking along McLachlan Street, Maclean, towards the bowling club.
Police would like to speak with a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a thin moustache, approximately 173cm tall, of thin build and between 25 to 30 years old.
He was last seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, dark coloured pants, light grey baseball cap and black sunglasses.
