This Saturday the rolling green lawns of the Sun Bistro will be hosting the inaugural Beer and Cider Fest, and to add a touch of formality to last week’s extensive Echo write-up, we can now supply last names for the local organisers: Rob Marston, Paul and John Soady, and Julz Recsei the manager of the Sun Bistro. To add a touch of frivolity, we can also name Shorty Brown as the clown joining the entertainment lineup, that will also include local performers such as Dan Hannaford, as well as food trucks, and of course the actual craft brewers themselves.

‘I’m really excited, it’s going to be a great event,’ says Julz from the Sun Bistro. ‘It’s community oriented; you get the meet the brewers; and it supports the craft and handmade aspect of the industry. The festival is not about a product that is made in a giant factory with no love. On the day you will experience the real personality of the brewers.’
