Lawyer, comedian, Dustyesky MC and political aspirant Mark Swivel will be guest speaker for the upcoming ABC Friends meeting on Sunday, November 25, at the Bangalow Bowling Club. Starts at 11.30am.

ABC Friends Northern Rivers secretary Jennie Hicks says ‘Mark is an entertaining, articulate speaker and a strong supporter of the ABC.’

‘He is running as an independent for the senate election in the federal election next year. All members of the public are welcome to attend. There will also be an opportunity for anyone interested to join the ABC Friends,  which is independent of the ABC itself and is not aligned to any political party. Its purpose is to support an independent and comprehensive national broadcaster.’

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
