Len Hend, Mullumbimby
Mullumbimby holds a special place in the heart of many, including myself.
For generations people worked hard to make and keep Mullumbimby as a healthy community.
It can remain a healthy community if people in control at Byron Council, Chamber of Commerce, estate agents, clubs, shopkeepers etc don’t focus on catering for the people that they do not have, but continue to focus on looking after the people that they do have.
It would be sad to see the town being turned into a tourist magnet.
I get told that you cannot stop progress, okay. But those who are at the wheel should steer the progress so as to preserve what is a healthy community. They need to progress along a path that is healthy for the local people and not be swayed by those who worship money only.
