The True Wheel Cycles team was up against another 1,200 competitors in the Kingscliff Triathlon last Sunday and earned two podium finishes.

In the Olympic mixed relay event Alex Evans, David Martin and Rob Bele got bronze, while Andy Kean and Mick Donnelly picked up a silver medal in the men’s sprint relay.

Conditions were tough and made for hard racing. ‘It was a very hot, windy and smoky day,’ Mick said.

The 18th edition of the Kingscliff Triathlon included 150 junior athletes aged from 7 to 12 who were competing as part of the South Coast Inter-Schools trials.
