Deep listening and housing ideas under Mullum’s fig trees for Renew Fest

Around a hundred presenters, musicians, other artists and community activators plus a bumper crowd of punters all came together under the fig trees at the Mullumbimby Showground over the weekend for Renew Fest 2021.

If you’re in town and you’re hot, or even if you just feel that you’re hot, you might like to take up the invitation of the Balcony crew to ‘stroll up our stairs with those sandy feet, cool down, and start sipping on our specialty Spritz cocktails … to breeze you through those balmy days and have your stoked vibes hit 110 per cent’.

The Balcony have created a Spritz menu including such gems as the Moon Tide (vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, hibiscus syrup, watermelon juice, Tyrell’s sparkling and soda) or perhaps the Jalosummer (jalapeño-infused El Jimador tequila, lime juice, cucumber juice, sugar syrup, Tyrell’s sparkling and soda).

Each of the specialty Spritz cocktails is $16 each, until the end of January.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
