Planning is well advanced for the upcoming Harvest Festival. This year the festival will run over 12 days starting on Wednesday 24 April.
The first event will be a function at Husk Distillers (the makers of award-winning Ink Gin, as well as some really nice rums) in North Tumbulgum, and will be one of the first functions to be held in their new bar and tasting room.
April 27 is the inaugural Harvest Autumn Fair at North Byron Parklands, a ticketed event for 1500 people. It will be a family day connecting local people and visitors with their food. Local restaurants, breweries and distilleries will team with market stalls and lots of fun kid-friendly activities.
On the weekend of 4-5 May the self-driving Harvest Trail will be in operation. On this weekend people can see behind the scenes of operations that are normally shrouded in secrecy. In between there will be breakfasts, dinners, cooking classes and workshops and two bus tours happening all over the region.
