Hundreds of flyers that appear to be from The Greens but are in fact an attack on the party have been placed in local letter boxes by NSW Labor.
The flyers are emblazoned with the words ‘The Greens focus for the NSW election, but inside document some of The Greens’ recent internal disputes, including the recent resignation of Jeremy Buckingham, and claims of bullying and harassment by upper house Greens MP Dawn Walker.
There is no mention of the Labor party or its insignia.
The only indication that this is the source is that the address of the authorizer is NSW Labor’s Sussex Street headquarters.

‘This is a deliberate smear campaign from Labor,’ The Green’s candidate for the seat of Lismore, Sue Higginson said.
‘To all of the people who have received that, I’d just like to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry that this is the way the old parties operate.
‘The Greens do politics differently. We are the party of being positive and the party of hope and change.’
The Labor candidate for Lismore, Janelle Saffin, said she had not seen the flyer when contacted by Echonetdaily.
When asked whether she had been told by her party’s head office that it would be distributed, Ms Saffin said she had to go and would call back.
Echonetdaily is still awaiting a response.
Bexhill resident Geof Webb, who received one of the flyers in his Lismore PO Box, said it was ‘sad that it has come to this’.
‘I’m just really disappointed that the race has become a race to the bottom – where’s the integrity gone?’ Mr Webb asked.
