With both state and federal elections approaching, you would think that climate change would be taken seriously, but it seems that none of the major parties have policies to tackle climate change effectively.
It has got to the point that only our school kids, eyes not yet blinded by fossil fuel money, can see clearly. No wonder they are going on strike again on Friday.
They are inviting us all to join them. What motivates them? As 16 year old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg said addressing the billionaires and ‘important people’ at the Wold Economic Forum in Davos in January: ‘I don’t want your hope. I don’t want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. And then I want you to act. I want you to act as you would in a crisis. I want you to act as if our house is on fire. Because it is.’
