Darrell Mcdowall, Mullumbimby

My letter (April 3) discussed how our roads are not fixed in a proper manner.

This is a photo (above) at the corner of Stuart and Train Streets in Mullumbimby. Gravel was shovelled into the deep holes about ten days ago. The holes have reappeared and gravel covers the road.

A young girl then came off her bike in the gravel and skinned her knee. I put hydrogen peroxide on her wound and she limped off, crying.

If something is not done immediately by Council in regard to their so-called road-repair company there will be much worse road accidents. This is a danger to our community.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
