‘Hollywood’ drug squads over the top

I guess we have to thank Hollywood for the enduring myth that a black-clad squad of elite 'blokes', preferably with cool helicopters, from the capital are needed to crack down on really serious crime in hick parts of the country like Mullumbimby.

A group of dedicated activists rallied outside the Optus offices in Lismore recently protesting against the rollout of the fifth generation cellular network (5G) technology that provides broadband access. 5G will eventually replace 4G world-wide.

Many technology users are looking forward to higher speeds but locally, there is a growing contingent of people who are concerned about the health issues surrounding the rollout.

The group say the primary focus of concern is the millimetre-wave radio frequency radiation associated with the 5G spectrum, coupled with the absence of prior safety testing, and the concerns recently raised by numerous scientists.

The protesters who are part of the Stop 5G Northern Rivers NSW group, say they are starting to see the health effects from earlier wireless technology such as 4G and that 5G is much stronger. They also say lab rats exposed to 5G died.

Protester Martin Oliver said that when he put up the signs before the protest started, the first person to the engage was a telecommunications engineer who said that he was on-side with the group’s message and concerns. ‘This was slightly surprising, as you might expect someone in that role to disagree with you,’ said Oliver. ‘In general, some passers-by were paying attention, especially when we were doing chants. A small number of people came up and chatted.’

Mr Oliver said no-one from Optus came out to see what the rally was about. ‘Our main targeted audience was the passing traffic and pedestrians,’ he said.

Gwilym Summers who was at the protest said that the passers-by were curious. ‘Some of them didn’t know what 5G was,’ he said. ‘There are many people saying that it is highly dangerous to human health and the environment. One scientist has said it is the most stupid thing that has ever been done on earth.’

The Stop 5G Northern Rivers NSW group are a community action group raising awareness about 5G health concerns, 5G wireless wifi technology, 5G electromagnetic radiation (EMR).

They can be found on Facebook, with information from several experts and have references to information on the subject.

    • Because NBN is a bit of a joke. Over 90% of people on NBN are not able to reach the 100mbps speeds and 75% can’t even attain 50mbps speeds.

I’m on 4g right now and I get 240mbps downstream. With 5g from optus, it will cost you $70 per month for unlimited downloads. They are selling it as a minimum of 50mbps guaranteed but most people so far are getting 300mbps plus, and over 1gbps when they are close to the tower.

NBN co are so worried about the failure of a network that they have built that they have decided to buy up the rights to some parts of the 5g spectrum, not to provide better coverage with our tax payer money, bit instead to reduce the amount of coverage the telcos can provide with 5g internet.

  1. What does protesting outside a retail shop achieve? They have nothing to do with SingTel Optus’s rollout of network infrastructure.

    • Getting the public educated enough to speak up is about the only thing that has ever stopped a cell tower from going in. 5G will put “small cell” antennas inside our neighborhoods, every few houses, right at the curb beaming toxic microwave radiation at our loved ones 24×7. If this is news to you, please feel free to use my research repository as a launch point to investigate. Then, form a group and start educating your local town leaders. All they hear about is faster speeds and free money for giving public accessway to the industry to put up toxic antennas. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    • These concerns are legitimate. I’m an RF electronics technician, there is plenty of evidence that shows 5G to be harmful to our health especially children.

  2. LISTEN TO WHAT MAX IGAN HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS WEAPONS AND SURVEILLANCE TECHNOLOGY. HE CAN BE FOUND ON YOUTUBE, BITCHUTE (IN AUSTRALIA ONLY VIA VPN), THECROWHOUSE.COM. ALSO DAVID ICKE (RECENTLY BANNED FROM AUSTRALIA). BUT, MAYBE YOU WANT MORE POLICE STATE. WHAT ARE THEY ROLLING OUT IN DARWIN? THEY NEED 5 G FOR THAT. LITTLE CHINA UP THERE SOON WITH SOCIAL CREDITS SYSTEM AND VIRTUAL FENCES FOR THOSE WHO ARE NIN COMPLIANT. BUT HEY, STAY ASLEEP, MORE SOCIALISM, TOTALITARIANISM, POLICE STATE, CONTROL. IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT. 5 G IS THE WAY TO GO. WOLF

  3. It’s great that people are protesting about the dangerous health risks from 5G. Personally I’ve had horrible health problems after living near a major rural phone tower!!

  4. wind it all back and realise people that FACT: “MOBILE PHONES WERE NEVER TESTED BEFORE THEY WERE PUT OUT TO MARKET!!” IF THEY WERE THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN RELEASED BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW TODAY!! WHO (World Health Organisation) classified cell phones, wifi, as Class 2B Carcinogen back in 2011. If you hold it up to your head (which goes against user manual and liabitiy clause) You increase your chance of cancer. And wind it forward to today where the trillion dollar tele comunications industry are rolling out Military grade 5G? Research yourself and ask “WHO IS REALLY TO GAIN HERE?” WAKE UP PEOPLE FROM YOUR DUMBED DOWN TECH BUBBLE. SWITCH OFF AND SPEAK OUT!!! AS SILENCE IS CONSENT TO THIS INSANE IDEA!!

  5. Yeah I sure as hell don’t want this. I will fight hard to make sure we do not get fried by this shit. I wanna have children damn it. Do I not deserve to bring life into a healthy world? I am not sitting back and watching psychopaths destroy our Earth and the health of all life on it. This has to stop. My nieces and nephews, the babies I may get to have, deserve so much better than what we are currently doing.

In regard to the above comments refering to Max Igan – please look him up. He is a wealth of information.
