Late yesterday afternoon the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked on a primary mission to Brunswick Heads where a male was pulled unconscious from the Brunswick River.
Members of the public pulled the man from the river and then performed CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and continued treatment.
The male regained consciousness prior to the helicopter arriving on scene. He was assessed by the helicopter medical team and transported by road ambulance to Tweed Heads Hospital.
The patient’s condition is unknown at this time.
