Baden Offord, Ocean Shores

I think your recent editorials are spot on including last weeks.

The misunderstanding/misrepresentation of what is hate speech and what is free speech brings about a mouth full of blood.

Also appreciated your editorial on messiahs. I met Krishnamurti many years ago when I was living and working in Madras (Chennai) in the 80s. His approach to questioning authority was oxygen.

Whether I’m at home in Ocean Shores or while at ‘home’ in Fremantle, I try to read The Byron Echo every week.

Ever since we moved to Goonengerry/Byron in 1992, The Echo has always been, for some inexplicable reason, a sparkle of liberation in our weekly life!

Keep up the fabulous work!

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
