Years of dreaming of a quality, level playing field with adequate drainage finally became a reality for MBVFC last Saturday, thanks to a $200,000 grant from Sport Australia’s Move It AUS – Community Sport Infrastructure program.
After much work behind the scenes over the past few months, MBVFC have officially opened their new professional standard field, complete with sophisticated drainage and quality turf – now one of the most superior fields in the region.
J M Bashforths & Sons carried out the work and also generously gifted MBVFC with an irrigator to ensure it is kept in tip top condition.
The field upgrade compliments the freshly renovated change rooms, brand new Female change rooms and new junior goals which now gives the club some of the best facilities in the region.
