Police have arrested a Casino man who had reappeared in Casino yesterday from Queensland breaching an apprehended violence order (AVO).

In July 2017 the man was charged with domestic-violence related offences. The man then had an AVO served on him.

In May 2019 he made numerous threats to have the victim killed and told her that he had arranged for a ‘hit man’ to execute her and he would see her in Hell.

At 4:20pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2019 police saw the Casino man, who now lives in Te Kowai (QLD) in a vehicle driving through Casino. He was placed under arrest and charged with Breach AVO, Stalking, Act With Intent to Influence Witness, and an outstanding High Range PCA (Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol ). He also had five outstanding warrants executed.

Bail was refused and he will appear at Lismore Local Court today

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
