A typically beautiful Northern Rivers winter morning greeted members of the Teven Men’s Golf championship for a four-ball, best ball Stableford competition.

A dry week prior meant good run on the fairways and fast greens, even with temperatures at just eight degrees. 

Results

The winning pair comprised Frank Jamieson and Ian Coochiroff with a score of 26 points. Runners up were Ian McDuff and Robert Tillman with 23 points.

Taking third prize with 22 points were Ian Coochiroff (played twice) and Ray Griffiths.

Ball rundown: Terry Prendergast and John Selwood (21 points), Steve Blackmore and Bill Wayte (21 points).

Nearest the pins: Paul Gumbleton (fourth) and Ian Coochiroff (eight).

Next Saturday is the  final round of the Winter Pointscore Championship, a nine-hole Stableford.
