Di McKee, Brunswick Heads
A motel in Brunswick Heads gained permission from our council to cut down three rainforest trees. Two old-growth Casuarinas simply because they drop their foliage, and an old-growth Flash Pine because it was across the lane from a power line.
They could have cut back the branches; instead they cut down the whole tree with Council’s permission. They go into National Parks to cut down trees for timber. Why couldn’t they contact a timber mill instead of a mulcher?
