Donald Maughan, President SPPA
The Suffolk Park community and the Suffolk Park Progress Association (SPPA) are encouraging families to support our children by lobbying the state government to allocate grant money to finance the building of a pump track on their new community field of Beech Drive.
These grant funds are to be allocated on a first-past-the-post voting system to community projects. You have to be over 16 to vote and must have a Medicare card number. So if we want our kids to get this facility, we the adults have to vote for the ‘Suffolk Park Pump Track’ at My Community Project. Select ‘Ballina electorate’, follow the prompts, and register to ‘vote 1’ Suffolk Park Pump Track. Each person can only vote for three to five projects; however, you can encourage your adult partner, friend, grandparents, and neighbours to vote as well.
This pump track is only part of the overall masterplan structures that the Suffolk community have developed for our new park land. The draft masterplan can be viewed online.
